 The Chattahoochee Valley / Ft Benning Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is your local chapter of a nationally based membership organization that supports all soldiers Active, Guard & Reserve and Retired. The Chattahoochee Valley / Ft Benning Chapter is focused on the Soldier and families of Ft Benning. The Chapter’s mission is to contribute to an improved quality of life for our Soldiers and their families by bringing them together with their community; which includes Columbus (GA), Phenix City (AL), and the surrounding Chattahoochee Valley.

Since 1950, AUSA has supported all aspects of national security. AUSA represents and supports the interests of soldiers, Army civilians, retirees, and their families. AUSA is an advocate for issues such as defense spending, pay increases for military and federal employees, health care needs, and retirement benefits. Membership is open to any soldier, individual, business,or organization that has a desire to support the men and women who serve our nation and support our freedom. AUSA is a private, non-profit educational organization that supports America's Army - Active, National Guard, Reserve, Civilians, Retirees and family members. AUSA provides numerous Professional Development Opportunities at a variety of events both local and national.

AUSA has 125 chapters located worldwide. Made up entirely of volunteers, they provide recreational and educational opportunities to Soldiers and their families. Most importantly, they support our deployed Soldiers and families left behind. AUSA and its' chapters have contributed over $1,000,000 to awards, scholarships, and support of soldier and family programs.

EDUCATION

Grassroots support for America's Army can only come when people know and understand the value of the Army to the nation. AUSA accomplishes this through its various chapters, AUSA's Institute of Land Warfare, Industry Affairs meetings & events, and the Government Affairs office
